WHAT IS IT?
Decision fatigue is the loss of our ability to make good decisions after making a lot of decisions in a short time.
We only have so much willpower, and making decisions uses a lot of willpower!
TIPS TO AVOID IT
If your budget allows, hire a wedding planner! They do a lot of the research as well as all the initial conversations that happen during vendor inquiries. A wedding planner can also help execute JUST the priorities, and keep you from trying to do everything. If a planner is not in the budget, no worries! Here are a few other tips:
1 – Ask your photographer, your friends, and your family for their recommended vendors (or ones they do not recommend) to help save time and energy.
2 – Don’t try to pretend that you can keep going if you are tired. Take a break and come back to it later!
3 – Make sure to set aside time with your fiancĂ© that does not involve any wedding planning! It can be stressful to plan a wedding, and you may feel like there is not enough time to get everything done, but I promise you there is!
